Westbourne Villa, Scarborough

Great property ,good location,well equipped . Ideal for our party if 6 couples .Lots of stairs so wouldn't recommend for people with mobility issues .No tea towels,until we asked and then we were given only one The owner was very responsive to requests questions . I would definitely recommend this property.

The house is lovely and spacious, big bedrooms with adequate ensuite facilities in every room. The kitchen was big but for the size, there wasnt much worktop space. The chairs around the dining table werent very comfortable, no seat pads or cushions. We were led to believe we had access to a washing machine but the door was locked to it but when the owner came he did kindly tell us the code so we could have used it. We had a problem with one of the locks on a bedroom door and the owner came round quickly to get it mended also he improved the WiFi for us. The kitchen had lots of cups, plates etc to accommodate our big family but could have done with bigger pans, a steamer and some big serving dishes for our mealtimes. Also some bits like foil, clingfilm would be useful. The sofas and beds, apart from the bunk bed were all really comfortable. But the blinds in the living room were not great, we couldnt reach the chains on two of them. Access to the house would be tricky for the elderly so the downstairs bathroom was really handy for our parents. We were worried about the parking which wasnt as bad as we thought because there were plenty of parking discs available. Even though we couldnt just leave our vehicles without faffing with the discs and moving them about. Overall we had a lovely week at Westbourne Grove and would recommend to others. Thank you to the owner and her husband, a very friendly, obliging man. Btw we think the access code to get in the property was a brilliant idea to save messing with keys. Thank you

Myself and 3 other families have just returned from No 27. We all agreed it was a great house offering flexible accommodation. It was a key code entrance which was ideal so everyone could come and go without the worry of who had a key to get back in! The facilities were great, everything we needed in the kitchen. Outside space was a grassed courtyard with picnic table and a few chairs. We had brought our own camping chairs too. You can walk to the seafront a couple of different ways which took 2030mins. There were 2 small supermarkets within 5 mins walk, plus a fish and chips shop etc.. and a Tesco 10 mins drive. We were concerned about the parking but it was fine. Plenty of discs were provided but after a day or so we used the roads mentioned in the house summary to park all of our cars without the time restrictions. There is an alley way opposite the house that provides a quick cut through to these roads. We had 1 or 2 queries during our stay and they were answered promptly. It's a great location for just visiting Scarbrough or to explore the wider area.

As we approached the property first impressions were they could have weeded the gardenno colourful plants, but once inside we were very impressed. Loved everything. Only one criticism inside the double bed on the first landing could do with changing. It sagged in the middle. Maybe more toilet rolls. But overall we were very happy with the property. We werent sure about garden furniture as it didnt specify on the details or show any pics. So we took some folding chairs just incase. There was plenty of space and rooms for everyone inside which was great. Loved the kitchen

Fantastic property and very well priced. It had everything we needed for our family holiday. Plenty of utensils, glasses, mugs, plates etc, all nice and clean. Nice size fridgefreezer. Some of the bedrooms are like mini apartments. Would definitely stay again.
