5 Westwood Road, Scarborough

It would be useful to have a washing machine there. .. otherwise a fab stay, easy to access the South Bay and just lovely to relax in.

A lovely clean and tidy well presented house that felt like home from home for the week that we were there. A nice fully enclosed back garden meant the grandchildren and dog could play out there in safety. Ideally located for all that Scarborough and surrounding areas had to offer. The whole family would return there in a heartbeat and the grandchildren are already planning for our next visit!

We are a 3 generation family, holidaying together for 14 years now, and 5 Westwood Road is one of the best we have stayed in. The property was so clean on our arrival and you can tell the owners really care about their guests as the house had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, there was always plenty of hot water and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment. The house is spacious and there is a lovely outside area to use as well. Easy to walk into Scarborough town or beach 1015mins with a local shop literally over the road, and a larger supermarket 5 mins away. We all had a lovely week there together making memories.

Great holiday home, ideal location with a 15min walk to the beach. Very clean and tidy course with generous room sizes. Only comment would be the lack of washing machine, or washing line. Other then that all amenities were catered for.

We found the house spacious, light, comfortable, well equipped and well located for our group of four adults, two children and one dog. Its a 15 min walk to the seafront and about the same to walk into town. The garden was lovely for reading and playing in, and for having a glass of wine in the evening, plus we had gorgeous weather to make use of it. The parking is tight for two large cars but disks are provided for parking on the street. Agree with a previous reviewer that a washing machine would be helpful, but other than that we would happily book this property again

We stayed at this property over Christmas week, and we were extremely impressed. The house is very clean and well maintained, the kitchen is stocked with all the things you need to make several Christmas dinners ! Plenty of pans , crockery utensils ect and of course a dishwasher to clear the dishes! We could have done with a few more bowls when all 9 of us wanted Christmas pudding but that was the only niggle. House is lovely and warm with easy to control heating and was quiet on a nighttime. There is a corner shop about 1 minute walk away , a tesco five minutes away and the sea front is a steady walk down that we did nearly every day . We found it easy to park two cars on the drive and the owner had left some parking disks for the street for extra vehicles. Noise doesnt seem to travel between the bedrooms, and even though we often had a house full, everyone had a good night sleep. Scarborough is a book lovers dream we found two brilliant book shops , along with a couple of big chains and of course Ann Bront to visit . My mum was very impressed with the cleanliness of the house this is not an easy thing to impress her with and we all agreed that we would like to stay again, indeed I tried to book for the summer holidays but it was already booked up ! The house had been decorated beautifully for Christmas and we all had a wonderful relaxing time. Thank you. Oh p.s my avid explorer step father did say he would have liked a proper map of the local area in the information pack . We sorted him out with a Google map search, but Im reliably informed that its just not the same !

Had a fantastic week, the property was very clean on arrival, its a lovely house there was 10 of us and plenty of room. The bed was very comfy and bedding was good quality. Not far to walk to town or the beach and shop was a minute walk with 2 supermarkets a little further. Owner were very helpful and quick to respond to any issues. Would definatly stay again.

This was a fantastic vacation in this lovely property which all the family loved very comfortable and great back garden to chill out in, and having a great pub around the corner and shop just down the road, great location to get to the beach etc, and great walks around the front along the the promenade and fantastic views from Oliver's mount. Would highly recommend this property and owner was very helpful.

Ideal location, all amenities and attractions being within walking distance and perfectly suited to three families with three cars. The rear garden in particular was appreciated by the two small children in our party and the host was very genial.

Brilliant stay. Great location with walking distance to the seafront. Beds were ultra comfortable. 3 toilets which is great for a family. Everything you need. Very clean and homely. Lovely garden. Parking was a bit tight if you have more than one large car but there was parking on the street and parking discs so fine. All in all a great holiday home.

Had a brilliant stay, house was as described, had everything we needed and was amazingly clean. Hosts Chris and Marie sent messages with all the information we needed for our stay and said we were able to arrive whenever we wanted as the property would be ready earlier than planned. Would highly recommend and would stay again if planning another visit to Scarborough.

We had a wonderful few days herewish it was longer! The house was perfect for our needs, lovely spacious rooms and in an ideal position for both North & South bays. Definitely one of the best lets we have stayed in in Scarboroughand weve been visiting for decades. Wouldnt hesitate to book again thanks for a great stay!

This house was spotless and the pictures do not really do it justice. It had lots of room, perfect closed on garden for the dog to have a run around. Comfy sitting area and dining room and wonderful hosts who answered any questions we had. I also liked how they had fans in every bedroom which were needed as we stayed at a particularly hot week. Lovely roomy property accommodating 10 of us with ease and comfort also ideally situated for seafront attractions and easy access to all tourist routes with good parking available on site and also on the street 3 HR disc giving excellent flexibility for our 3 families staying here. We all very much enjoyed our stay.

This property exceeded our expectations. It was really comfortable. Loved the dining room, and did sit out on the decking several times lovely in the sun. Location is good too, didn't use the cars to get to the seafront. Very handy to have the shop across the road. Didn't want to leave.

The property is lovely, very well equipped and spacious with a great back yard which let us soak up the Easter sunshine. It is in a great location for a short walk down to the arcades and a stones throw from the local pub and a small supermarket. The owners are very informative and helpful.

Lovely property with plenty of space for 10 people & 1 dog. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay & the ability to walk to the beach & other facilities. There were a couple of niggly things we found but the owners intend to address those issues & they hadnt spoiled our stay.

The house provided us with a great base from which we could travel around the Yorkshire coast over our week there. With six adults, a baby and a dog we needed a sizeable house and this fit the bill. Great communication with the owners both before and during our stay. Should we holiday in the area again then we'd have no hesitation in booking this house again.

Fantastic, spacious and cosy holiday home. The owners have beautifully furnished the property and is a relaxing place to come back to when returning from days out in and around Scarborough. Plenty of places to visit only a short drive away. Situated not far from the beach 15 minute walk with a local shop just across the road. Bigger supermarkets just a short drive away Tesco 5 minute drive. Would definitely recommend this holiday home having everything you could ever wish for. We had a wonderful time at 5 Westwood Road. The property was exactly as described and there was plenty of space for our party of 4 adults, a three year old and a baby. The host was very thoughtful, leaving out a high chair and a couple of bath toys for the children, as well as a few soft drinks and plenty of biscuits! Dishwasher tablets were also provided. The garden was a delight. Our 3 year old grandson spent most of his time there the weather was great when we were not at the beach. An excellent location for introducing a three year to the British seaside. Morrisons Local literally a minute away and then Scarborough has other much bigger supermarkets very close to the house. It is easy to walk into town and to the beach Valley Road way makes for a more gentle climb back. We didnt use the car at all and would certainly like to return whatever the weathertime of year as there is plenty to keep different family members occupied. Location of house means getting in and out of Scarborough relatively painless. Hosts were available and always responded to any text messages etc. very quickly. Thank you, Marie.

July 2024 House was lovely with everything you would need. Owner contacted us before departure to give us all instructions on arrival with lock box and WiFi codes. House so clean and excellent amenities. Only thing missing was a washing machine and tumble dryer but minor thing. Shame about the weather as decking and garden seating were fabulous. Excellent accommodation. Would certainly return to this property.

Gorgeous house in a really convenient location. Supermarket on the same road and a short walk to the beach front. The house is lovely and has everything you need, the one and only thing missing that would make a huge difference is a washing machine. It did say in the listing that there was a washing machine and this was one of our requirements so it was a disappointment that this wasn't the case, however we would still return as the house is lovely. There's plenty of board games which our children loved and the back garden is a gorgeous sun trap on a morning. Would definitely recommend, especially for large families as there's so much space.

What an amazing home from the moment we arrived which was early we parked our cars on the drive the owners moved their car for us. It is absolutely spotless lovely kitchen with everything you need including any air fryer. Beautiful dining room, and lovely comfortable Sofas and chairs well equipped with plenty of games and sky too. Upstairs was a delight beautiful clean spacious bedrooms. Lovely bathroom and ensuite to master bedroom. I cannot fault anything it is perfect Lovely garden area with decking and gazebo on lower level. Very peaceful location I wound recommend this home and we will be back.

Excellent property, had a lovely stay, very spacious and clean, ideal location for the town and beach, only thing I wished I had noticed was there isn't a washing machine, having a child this would of been ideal.

We had an amazing month. The property was absolutely ideal for family gatherings. Warm, spacious, comfortable, well equipped everyone was very happy. Great location. Comfortable beds. Lots of storage space. Good array of games. The outside area is excellent unfortunately we didnt have the weather to make good use of it but Im sure summer guests will enjoy the decked and garden areas. The owners were brilliant quick and excellent communication and nothing was too much trouble. They really want you to enjoy your stay. Would definitely return.

The owners of this property go above and beyond with the early text to confirm things to all the beautiful touches they include at the house. Our family went for Christmas. This was the first time we have had ever gone away at this time. The house was decorated beautifully. Christmas items throughout like decorations in every room, towels, tea towels, chocolate coins and biscuits to name a few. The house was spotless and extremely spacious for our party of 9 including a dog! All rooms were perfectly equipped and the outside area was a big hit for our dog. Very safe and secure, would love to use this space in the summer! The house was in a good location easily accessible to shops and of course the sea. It has certainly given us a Christmas to remember and treasure. We experienced a family member sadly requiring to go into hospital and the host again went above and beyond enabling us to extend our stay! Thank you so so much Marie and Chris. Cant wait to book again.

Super clean property, within easy walking distance of the south bay amenities. A Morrisons local just over the road and a big Tesco a short walk away. Room for three cars if you can park prettily, lots of space inside for our 7 night family get togetherholiday. A big dining table and chairs for the 10 of us. Everything worked as it should, the hot water was always hot and the showers had good pressure. We would definitely stay here again if coming to Scarborough,.

This home was absolutely beautiful. Very undersold in the description. There was so many little touches that made the stay all the more enjoyable. Everything needed was in the kitchen even tea coffee sugar, lots of biscuits. Even a dog bowl and towel! There was sky tv in every room which was a bonus with kids. A big pergola in the garden was perfect for sitting outside even in English weather. The house is also in a perfect location with the town being only 10 minutes walk and the beach the same. Also a really short walk from the train station so you wouldnt need a car if you wanted to stay here. I will be recommending this beautiful house to family and friends. Fantastic holiday home,spacious and comfortable and very clean made me feel at home, all the kids loved it and were sad to vacate the holiday home,shop within 100 Mt's. Town centre and the beach all within easy walking distance, House and the area made our holiday 100 Fantastic Would definitely recommend this property to all types of families from large to small will definitely use 5 Westwood road again.

We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children. Plenty of room to. eat together in the dining room, hang out in the lounge or sit out in the garden together. The property was situated near to the.local shop and large supermarket. We were close to the seafront and the.grandchildren were there ever day. couldn't fault anything and a great time.was had by all. Highly recommend

The house is lovely and suited our requirements perfectly. However, the showers were quite difficult to turn off and as it was quite humid at night, fans would have been appreciated. The only downside was that we couldnt park on the drive due to waterworks maintenance which was a bit of a nuisance as we had two very young children with us and we had to park on the opposite side of the road. However, we were offered the chance to park in the forecourt of the garage just up the road and we have since had the offer of reimbursement of any parking charges incurred which is appreciated.

The property was beautiful and well kept. We had a lovely time,7 adults,3 children and a dog for part of the week,very hectic but plenty of room and cooking facilities were good with everything you needed.
