Mount House Reviews

Jill
Really well equipped cottage, conveniently located for walking into Leyburn or the local countryside. Certainly plenty of things to do in the area. Appreciated the tea, coffee, biscuits etc.
Diane
Handy location for town. Well equipped and comfortable. Plenty of good walks nearby. Meals at the Sandpiper in town were exceptional.
James
Very comfortable and within easy walking distance to town
Lisa
Beautiful home in a perfect location. Within walking distance to town with lovely array of shops, cafes and pubs.
Diane
Mount House is clean, comfortable and in a good location. Although it is described as family friendly it did not provide a cot or high chair. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs but it is of the pressure fit type and really not secure enough to rely on. We found it to be more of a hazard to be negotiated with a young child. The kitchen is well equipped. The welcome pack includes everything for tea and biscuits, a small tube of washing up liquid, some sachets of washing detergent, a J Cloth, small sponge and two small tablets of hand soap. As there are four sinks in the property a couple more pieces of soap would have been appreciated. Absolutely nothing else is available, not even a grain of salt or pepper. Mount House is a very attractive property, the management company is excellent and it has a lot to recommend it, but for us it fell short of its description as family friendly.
Victoria
Lovely clean, comfortable and modern property. Shame not to have a dishwasher, but it felt luxurious to have 2 bathrooms plus a downstairs loo. Convenient location for exploring the northern Dales. It's on the edge of a town, so you don't get rural seclusion, but you do get amenities within 10 minutes' walk. Both the Co-Op and R. Cambells supermarkets were larger than expected and well stocked. There are a decent selection of churches, pubs and tea shops. The Shawl has the most picturesque playground that we have ever visited. We also enjoyed Aysgarth Falls, Middleham Castle, the Wensleydale Creamery and some nice walks with a bit of wildlife.
Philip
This was our second visit to this property and we would certainly come again. We are walkers and itâ??s location and attributes meet our needs.
Simon
A perfect location for exploring the Dales. A comfortable and well presented house.
Lindsay
Lovely situated property and a gorgeous town. Property could do with a few updates. Kitchen is extremely well equipped. We had a lovely holiday, Yorkshire is just beautiful.
Kay
The Mount was a comfortable, well appointed property with a good range of equipment. Being situated in Leyburn it is also gives you a good base for touring the area. We were very lucky in that we had a lot of sun and the outside garden furniture was great all that was missing was an umbrella. We had a really good holiday and would return in the future.
Jennifer
The Mount is a Beautiful House to stay in and is exactly as the pictures show. The house was extremely clean, very well maintained and had everthing we needed. Enough parking for two cars. Location wise it is perfect for exploring Yorkshire. If you are considering booking the Mount you should, you will have no regrets.
Linda
Lovely property well worth a visit
Jennifer
Lovely house, very well equipped, comfortable, lovely decor etc. Very convenient location
Matthew
I donâ??t review often but this cottage is superb in my opinion. Spacious, clean and well arranged. Gas washing machine but no dishwasher, Iâ??d prefer the opposite but thatâ??s me.
Kathleen
An extremely comfortable cottage. The beds and bedding were top quality. Towels were soft and fluffy. All rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped.
Adrienne
Had a really nice stay in Leyburn, the house was very clean and well equipped. It takes about ten minutes to walk into town which has got lots of pubs and local shops . Leyburn is an excellent location for visiting so many places, we visited Barnard Castle so that we could go to the Bowes Museum . Ripon is a lovely small town .
