Nightingales, Bridlington

Nightingales is in a lovely area of Bridlington and access to amenities is very good. The apartment is nice but the mattress in the small double room wasnt great. A cupboard door is in need of attention in the kitchen where the plates are kept. The shower in the ensuite also needs a replacement seal on the riser. This time the pool was much colder with holes in it the roof. Other people had commented on noise from downstairs and we could hear the tv too. We felt some TLC would be beneficial. Overall not the worst place to stay. Just not top notch for the price. No instruction book to be found and that item had been mentioned back in 2025. So we got told off for not putting the pool cover on which apparently fused the roof lights but we had no idea we should be doing it anyway. The grandchildren were oblivious to anything and had a great time. Minor issues that would be easily rectified.

We met the owner on arrival and he was very pleasant and told us that was more than happy to assist us in anything that we needed during our stay. We entered through the end door and was greeted by a flight of stairs that lead to the first floor accomodation which was spacious and clean. The swimming pool is available any time we wanted you use it and was set at a temperature which made it continuously lovely and warm.

Just returned from a lovely break at nightingales, the accommodation is all on the first floor and is absolutely lovely, clean, comfortable, luxurious bedding and comfy beds, great location for exploring Bridlington and close to the pub for a meal out and of course exclusive access to your own heated swimming pool! Yes you so have to walk a few steps through the owners garden but they dont mind it and we didn't either, the owners are really nice too cannot recommend enough, will definitely be back again

What a lovely apartment, very spacious with everything provided for a super time away esp for Xmas. Comfy & cosy was just perfect. Parking plentiful, access to the accommodation no issues at all. Its the first floor and attic that you rent. The pool WOW very toasty, all enjoyed very much Had a delightful Xmas full of newly formed memoriesthank you. Pubs,beach & town all in walking distance

There were no key code numbers provided, and we were unable to get a reply to our messages, texts, or calls. We eventually had to knock on the owners house to gain access to the property. The house itself was lovely and very comfortable. However, I wasnt aware that you needed to walk through the garden to access the pool, and the chlorine levels seemed a little strong, as our eyes felt irritated while swimming.

Lovely property and location was great, confused about the property on the listing as we thought as so many others did that you was getting the house, perhaps the picture of the house should be taken from the other side to show the little door for the accommodation. First thought's very excited but there are a few issues, lets start with no welcome pack no wifi no radio and the tv's are Sky but only 5 channels could not get two of the tv's to work, the pool shower does not work just a dribble and really hot or cold need new one, we attended the property on the back of storm Amy so the Saturday was very windy and the bedroom with the shower ensuite the bedroom window does not close at the bottom so had to fill the cap with tissue paper and a towel plus the shower door has a wheel missing at the bottom which made sliding the door dangerous, all the showers pretty poor in the house a lot of maintenance needed and decorating, still lovely property would go back and hope things are rectified. Pool was the best.

We all enjoyed a comfortable stay. The pool was a hit with everyone. At times the pool & room was very hot so we left the door open whist in to cool it down a bit. An information guide would have been useful re screen in pool room and temperature control.

Spent a very enjoyable few days here, 8 adults, 2 children, 1 baby. Clean and comfortable accommodation, nice pool, good location, owner very accommodating and easy to deal with. Only 2 relatively minor negatives that weren't clear to us through the description rear garden is accessed through front door and side of property rear garden is completely overlooked by owner's ground floor accommodation.

Lovely apartment with a great swimming pool 15 minute stroll to the beach. Great for families or couples. Welcome pack would have been a good addition and information book. However a great family weekend grandchildren loved it

Fantastic accommodation ideally situated to explore the local coastline. The heated pool room is excellent and the host Rob is an absolute gentleman.

Can't complain. Definitely recommend. Come and try for yourself and you decide. It's a holiday break. Enjoyed travelling to Bridlington from Bradford

What an amazing house to spend our Christmas. We were met by Rob the house owner, who is such a nice chap. He provided us with WiFi details and then let us settle in. The house was immaculately clean with all the facilities a family needs. It was spacious and comfortable for our Christmas week away. We cooked our Christmas dinner and had all the utensils we needed. The pool was an added bonus and we all enjoyed hours of endless fun. The only thing that would be good to keep towels n clothes dry is clothes hooks but we managed. Overall this is an amazing property and we will 100 be returning. Hopefully in the summer. Rob thank you for an amazing week in your home.

The property was amazing, the pool was great for us & the rooms were great. So local to everywhere but out of the way. Had to double check the tv as it wasnt working in the pool area however quick call was sorted and understood. Overall, would come back and recommend to everyone.

Me and 9 friends stayed here in July 2024 for my 40th birthday, we had such a great time! The house is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The owner was great with communication and location was a lovely quiet street but only 1015mins walk to the beach front. Its worth noting that the entrance to the apartment is at the front and the pool house is at the back but it wasnt really a problem, we just thought it was different from the pics. Would go back, highly recommend

Walk in shower temperature was broken and was set to scolding hot other shower toilet had no door locks for privacy so we had to take showers inthe pool area. owner said this was being sorted Toaster only working one side Door stoppers did not work resulting in constant door banging Could have had a baby safety gate for stairs Most of tv remotes had no working batteries

Upon arrival at nightingales we found dining chair to be falling apart taken and repaired, returned 3 days later bathroom door handlecatch didnt worklatch told this required a tradesman so wouldnt be repaired during our stay, had to use a piece of string to hold door closed whilst in the toilet or bathshower Upper oven temperature control is broken turns all the way round with no resistance, temperature is stuck at max and if we werent vigilant could of set fire to a lasagne we put in there! ice machine on fridge freezer was frozen solid, fridge has had a rudimentary repair on both sides using corrugated plastic and sticky tape. Right hand side of toaster doesnt work dishwasher drain filter was extremely fouled up seat pads on kitchen chairs extremely looseno screws main bathroom bath taps, Hot is Cold, Cold is Hot. Extremely dangerous! 1st floor room with en suite hair dryer glowed red and got extremely hot upon use, Extremely dangerous! 1st floor en suite toilet seat extremely loose, shower temp adjuster very stiffdifficult to use corner sofa ends very loose and sunken Also, during our stay on the 29th we had a visit from E.on who were trying to locate the gas meter for number 27, I said we were staying in 27 but had no idea where it was. E.on man asked for contact details for owner as the number he had nobody was answering, I didnt give any details to him. Although we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay, I think its clear from the above that there were numerous issues that make me feel that we didnt get value for money, to the point that I hope that some form of good will gesture may be offered. I have listed the issues we found so as that the owner can rectify before others stay and feel the same way that I do now.

This is a lovely house, very clean and great fixtures, fittings and furniture. The top rooms are a little small for 2 adults but we managed. The swimming pool and garden are beautiful. However tbe owners part of the house over looks this area. But they went away for the weekend so no issues for us with privacy but to be fair it probably wouldnt be a problem if they had stayed. Its about a 20 minutes walk to the beach and plenty of amenities around. Plenty of car parking space. Overall we had a brilliant time here and weve all said wed definitely come again.

The apartment was immaculate we had everything we needed and all ages loved the pool. Its in a super area for access to town and beach yet quiet and feels welcoming. The littlest ones quickly devoured the chocolates!! Plenty of parking for all three cars. For future reference maybe a list of nearest doctors etc and a do not touch sign on the ice off button on the fridge freezer as our teens thought it made the ice machine work!!!!! Great holiday and will def be back. Highly recommend this amazing place.

If anyone is staying at the Nightingales here are a few tips, there wasnt any cleaning equipment left just a dishcloth and 1 dishwasher tablet, there was 2 tea towels left which was good . If you are taking young children there was only grown up crockery so was a bit daunting at times. I have written it in the comments book so may be sorted for future rentals. The swimming pool was a bonus for the children they loved that and tired them out in an evening ready for bed. The owner was helpful when I spoke to him . Be aware anyone staying in the attic rooms the ceilings are very low. Overall we had a great week in Bridlington

Really enjoyed our stay here during February half term. The apartment is very comfortable with great facilities. The pool is a great added feature and the temperature is perfect. Definitely hope to visit again in the future as lots of shops and the coast very close by.

The house was great, the pool was very clean and hot even on the coldest days.

Total let down for the cost! We turn up to find crumbs on the side, food dried into the over gloves, data cables hanging out of the wall with kids around, the main oven not working, which was known by the owner and failed to attempt to resolve this through our stay. Loud music could be heard from possibly the owners tv below one of the bedrooms. Really disappointed with it for the price,

High quality property and central location to all amenities. We were greeted by a lovely welcome hamper which following a commute with 5 children was greatly appreciated. The house was immaculate every room decorated beautifully. The pool was used daily a challenge to get the kids out of there!!!! Every appliance we needed was available and Rob was a fantastic host! Highly recommend 5 and we will definitely be rebooking for next year.
