Providence Mill Reviews

Jenny
A comfortable and cosy cottage. Kitchen is excellent - very modern and well equipped. A good location for travelling to attractions around the Dales. A shame the weather cannot be controlled! We saw the sun one day the rest was extremely rainy!!
Helen
The cottage was lovely and clean, but the smell from the heating was rather overpowering. The cottage is in a beautiful part of the dales with magnificent views. It would make a perfect base for rambling.
Joanne
This cottage is just amazing, yes a little dated in places but that doesn't spoil anything, everything worked to a high standard, that's all you need. We love the fact everybody has their own bathroom. The kitchen is so well equipped, everything has been thought about. The open fire is amazing ! The location is also fantastic, Hawes is beautiful and to be able to wander down when you feel like it is fabulous. Obviously the cheese factory on your doorstep also helps ! Highly recommend!!
John
Well equipped quirky property in great location. Comfortable beds.Only down sides are smells from oil heating and plumbing which is sometimes evident in older properties
Tracey
Spacious house with good parking and easy access to Hawes. The owner has put child gates in place which is great as the dogs are not allowed upstairs - many rental cottages donĂ¢??t do this which is a personal annoyance. Whilst the property is a little dated for example the bathrooms, everything is really clean and basic welcome pack provided.
Steven
Overall good. Just needs a little tlc.
Gillian
Cottage is in a fantastic location with easy access to shops and pubs. Amazing walks on your doorstep. Kitchen is modern and has good equipment. Bathrooms need updating. The en suites are very small and one was starting to smell a bit. Lounge is cosy with a good log fire. Very little storage in bedrooms especially in one double that has no wardrobe. Garden needs some better garden furniture to enjoy it. You can enclose the garden by closing gates but it is a through way to other properties so dogs and children would need watching.
Dennis
Good location and parking. Spacious house with unusual layout. Good heating system, comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Only downside is the lounge which gets very little daylight because of the conifer hedge. Also it is not a warm room but we had a lovely fire most evenings. Generous supply of logs and coal and nice welcome pack and toiletries. Hawes is a typical Dales town with good shops, cafes and pubs all within walking distance. Beautiful countryside with excellent walking. In spite of the dark lounge would recommend Providence Mill
Julia
A warm and comfortable cottage. Lovely open fire and great location. Easy and pretty countryside walk to Hawes. Creamery opposite has a great restaurant and definitely worth a visit.
Paula
Great location and base for getting out and about in the Yorkshire Dales. Comfy beds, powerful showers and plenty of hot water. It was freezing weather when we stayed and the house was really warm. Kitchen very well equipped and Dean the owner is very accommodating. Ideal for a large group.
Joanne
This cottage is so well equipped with everything you need, it was like a tardis, so much space, beautiful Hawes on your doorstep and some stunning walks and obviously the creamery just across the road. For all we were close to the town it was so peaceful, thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Jill
Excellent location close to the centre of Hawes.. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen
Dorothy
Beautiful area, outstanding views. Clean well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds.
Terry
Excellent in all respects.
Paul
Great cottage for a large group. Brilliant access to village and perfect location to explore the Dales!
Sandra
A warm, cosy and comfortable place to stay over New Year with our family. Great location for walking into Hawes and lovely to have a real fire to return to, as our weather wasn't the best! The cottage was very clean, had comfortable beds and was well equipped with everything we needed - a real home from home. Thank you!
