Sandy Gate Reviews

We had a wonderful short break here at Sandy Gate. What a gorgeous house in a spectacular setting. The house was beautifully clean, well presented and equipped. Provided us a comfortable home away from home. Happy to recommend this to you.
Michelle
Simply stunning and set in beautiful grounds. I am a fussy one to please at the best of times, but I would highly recommend this property. We all had an amazing time, and the house had everything we needed in a great location. Anyone booking this property will not be disappointed, we were sad to leave.
The house was beautiful, settings and surroundings were outstanding. It was very spacious and clean with enough privacy so you werent all on top of one another. Not far away to get to other places and lots of lovely walks and pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
The pictures don't do this place justice it's better for seeing lovely groups Sarah even rang me to ask if it was OK to cut the grass as she didn't want to disturb us. Its 10min drive to shops bars and restaurants we we had some great meals plenty of parking at a reasonable price.if you want a relaxing break i recommend sandy gate.
Lovely large property in its own grounds. Surrounded by trees and meadows it is very quiet and peaceful. From the Red Kites flying over to the cheeky squirrels, it is very tranquil and relaxing. We very much enjoyed our stay. Great communication with owner.

A lovely modern designed house within its own grounds. Large and spacious and back from the road. Has a very useful wraparound veranda, making it easy to be outside whilst protected from the weather. The 4 bedrooms are on three levels. Well decorated and double height interior gives a feeling of space, together with open planned living. There is an open fire double sided for chilly days.

Had an absolutely fantastic time. Amazing outdoor space for the kids to run around and play in and had everything we needed. Lovely and peaceful and yet close enough to plenty of places to visit. Only minor issue was the pillows in the bedrooms were very very soft for us but we realise that is very much a personal preference. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family
Michelle
House was lovely exactly as shown in the pictures, plenty of space set in a beautiful quiet location. Well equipped for multiple families with an open social living, dining and kitchen area. The honesty bar was an added bonus. It was easy to get to different locations from the house Knaresborough, Harrogate and the nearest pub were only a short drive away, Bolton Abbey although a bit further away was beautiful. The Blue Bell at Arkendale 5 mins drive away was really lovely, food was amazing and staff incredibly friendly. Definitely be one on our list to go back.
Louise
This is a beautiful house and gardens and we so enjoyed spending time as a family together. The bedrooms are spacious and comfy and the communal area conducive to chilling and chatting. All I would add is that although there are minimum cooking utensils and tableware, perhaps a wider range and duplication would make cooking easier. Other than that Thankyou we made lovely memories in this welcoming home.

This is a great house in a great location. The house is very well appointed and all 3 couples thought is was excellent. I would certainly recommend it to friends and family. The area is beautiful with lots of great walks, pubs and Spas. We liked it so much we will look to use again.
A beautiful house in a great location to explore North Yorkshire. 4 spacious double rooms, 2 with ensuite. Lovely lounge and kitchen dining area seperated by a real fire place. A lovely wrap around garden. Lovely to sit and watch the sheep in the neighbouring field. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots & pans. Handy to have a dishwasher too. 2 under counter fridges in the kitchen, one with a small freezer compartment and a large fridgefreezer in the utility room downstairs. Towels and bedding provided. Need your own soap, washing up liquid, toiletries etc as usual with a self catering place. Knaresborough and Harrogate near by. York was approx 30 min to the park and ride. 1h30 to ScarboroughWhitby.
