View CottageWhat do previous guests think about their group stay at Stonesdale
Both the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast walk pass directly through Keld giving walking groups instant access to two legendary long-distance routes.
The cottage sits at the head of one of the most spectacular valleys in the Yorkshire Dales with open moorland and limestone scenery all around.
Large shared living and dining areas mean the whole group can eat together and spend evenings in the same space without feeling cramped.
Keld feels genuinely off the beaten track but Richmond is only 12 miles away for shops, restaurants and supplies when you need them.
Dry stone walls, open fells and fast-running becks surround the property. This is proper Yorkshire Dales landscape rather than a manicured holiday park setting.
Keld Waterfall, Kisdon Force and the upper Swaledale valley are all walkable directly from the property without needing to drive anywhere.
Find your way to your perfect countryside retreat
To reach Stonesdale by car, head into Swaledale via the B6270 from Richmond. Follow the road west through Reeth and Muker until you reach Keld. The postcode DL8 3RE will guide you in on most sat navs though mobile signal can be limited on the final approach.
The nearest mainline station is Darlington on the East Coast Main Line, approximately 30 miles from Keld. From there you will need to arrange a taxi or hire car as there is no direct public transport to this part of Swaledale.
